The first weeks of the semester always see a lot of planning going on, as various student groups try to get their act together for the coming semester, or coming year. Except the Journal of Religion and Culture. They always get a very early start.
The Concordia Graduate Student Interdisciplinary Conference is no exception. It's first meeting will be held, concurrent to Grad Cafe, at 1:30pm in FA202.
The conference committee is an excellent venue to engage student life and improve ones academic CV. This sort of volunteerism reflects well on a candidate for grants, etc. The conference requires surprisingly little time commitment. It is perfect for students who want to get involved.
Also, for those who don't want to organize the conference, you should still consider submitting a paper. Notices will go out in the near future concerning the call, so please keep an eye on this space, the website or the mailing list.
